Huntsman Polyurethanes (PU) is a global leader in manufacturing MDI-based polyurethanes, serving over 3,000 customers in 90 countries. MDI-based polyurethane is the most effective thermal insulant on the market and is widely used to provide energy-saving solutions in residential and commercial buildings, with versatile applications across various industries.

For this project, Huntsman PU required a modern solution to replace its outdated anti-vandal contractor management block at Wilton International in Teesside. The new facility needed to accommodate the shutdown team and support the company’s operations over the next seven years. To meet this need, Cleveland Modular provided a 24-bay, double-story modular building designed to house maintenance contractors and office staff on the chemical plant site.

The mixed-use building features office areas, meeting rooms, a canteen, and toilet facilities spread over two floors. The modular structure was specifically tailored to meet the demands of Huntsman’s operations, ensuring an efficient workspace for the team.

To further enhance the functionality and safety of the building, Cleveland Modular supplied the following ancillary items as part of the ‘Boost Your Space’ solution:
